Dale Hollow Lake

Dale Hollow Lake is the place everyone dreams of.  Whether you are looking for relaxation, fun, or adventure … Dale Hollow Lake has it all!  It’s known as the place of paradise for vacationers, retirees, fishermen, photographers and anyone looking for a quiet place to relax.

Looking for Relaxation?

Dale Hollow Lake is known for crystal clear water and it’s perfect, natural beauty. Covering more than 52,000 acres (including nearly 28,000 acres of water and the adjoining acres of boundary land), Dale Hollow Lake offers plenty of room for that getaway you’ve been longing for.  You can really “get away from it all” with a cabin or houseboat rental and sit back in your lounge chair to enjoy the beautiful sunsets, admire the unique 600+ miles of shoreline, or even spot an American Bald Eagle.  Need to get rid of some unwanted stress?  You may try relaxing in a hot tub or taking a walk on a nature trail.

Looking for fun?

How about catching a huge Smallmouth Bass?  Dale Hollow Lake has earned the nickname of “Smallmouth Bass Capital of the World”.  Numerous fishing tournaments are held on the lake throughout the year.  You may wish to enjoy your “catch of the day” at one of the many picnic areas surrounding Dale Hollow Lake.

If you’re still looking for a little more fun, you can try out a few of these activities… swimming at the beach, water skiing, boating, tubing, or cruising the waters with a wave runner.  There is lots of fun to be had even off of the water in the surrounding Dale Hollow Lake area such as hiking, horseback riding, biking, eagle watch tours, shopping, visiting state parks, and of course enjoying some southern cookin’ at a good ‘ol hometown restaurant.

Looking for adventure?

Dale Hollow Lake is a nearly 28,000 - acre picturesque lake located north of interstate 40 on the Kentucky / Tennessee border. There are plenty of shorelines (about 620 miles of shoreline) and coves to explore during your stay at the Eagle Cove and Holly Creek Resorts. You may even wish to take in an 18 mile horse and hiking trail to add a little extra adventure along the way.
